T Narayanan's Kirthi Mudra Theatre

In our quest to provide our patrons, the best cinema experience, we are now upgrading our screens into multiple screens with the latest in projection and sound technology. These include the latest in digital projection and immersive sound technology. All the screens will be equipped with comfy air-conditioning, cosy seats and plush interiors. A centrally located snack bar will be at your F&B service. We look forward to provide you with the best in cinema experience It all started, when our visionary founder T. Narayanan, a merchant in Badagara, who thought of venturing into the dream world of cinemas. He came up with an idea of a permanent theatre, at a time when cinemas were shown in make shift tents. Ashok Talkies was thus established in the year 1958 in partnership with Sri. AC Kunhiraman Nambiar, who was his close friend and a leading businessman. Ashok Talkies was a favourite destination for all movie goers for many years. The success of this business prompted the second generation to build a twin cinema theatre at Vadakara.This was the first such venture in North Kerala. Kirthi Mudra was thus the most sought after movie destination. And so the story goes...
