Regional Transport Office Kozhikode

Regional Transport Offices (RTOs) were established by the Indian government to enforce the provisions under the Motor Vehicles Act. This includes tasks such as issuing driver-related legal documents such as driving licence and vehicle-related documents such as registration certificate, permits and fitness certificate. Apart from granting transport-related documents, RTOs across the country are engaged in collecting road taxes from private and commercial vehicles. They are also involved in conducting driving tests, conducting inspections at strategic check-posts within their jurisdiction.
