A 60-year-old daily wager from Koduvalli, Kozhikode, became a social media sensation overnight when a makeover video shot by a local studio and wedding dress company went viral. For the people of Kozhikode, Mummikka is an ordinary worker who wears a faded shirt and a lungi and does not care about his appearance. However, his life changed when pictures of his photoshoot appeared on social media. Mummikka looks suave in trendy blazers and fabulous shades. It was a local firm that made Mummikka the model for their advertisement. The pictures were clicked by noted photographer Shareek Vayalil. Millions of viewers had watched and liked the makeover video. Mummikka says he will continue modeling if the offers come along with his regular job and is also very happy with his success.
