To add on to the pampering, one can indulge in the warm cozy feeling derived upon sipping gently on a hot “Suleimani”(black tea)  making it something to crave for in the rainy season. Coupled with hot fritters and other delectables, our tummy will be happy keeping us brimming with joy. “Adaminte Chayakada” will be one just place that will bestow upon a unique experience for people who love to “drench and indulge”. This restaurant offers a wide variety of delectables which is sure to make our tongue drool in a way that “naavil kappil odum” (enough water for ship to sail through our tongue).   

 

 

This restaurant started in the holy Ramadan season of year 2015, by preparing the special cuisine for “Nombu –thura”, the food served after breaking the fast in dusk. Aneez Adam, an investment banker is behind this venture. It has become a distinguished restaurant in the hearts of Kozhikodans with an array of delicious food items attracting the new gen “bros”, “freekens” and families alike.

 

 

“Adaminte Chayakada” takes the form of an old traditional house of Kerala decorated with Palm leaves in the front porch which itself compels us to turn our heads for another look at it. Menu items also features unique names like ‘Chicken Pottitherichathu’ (Chicken Exploded), Chicken Hangama, Antham Vitta Appam (Surprised Appam), ‘Chicken Cheeripanjathu and Olichu Kalikunna Chemmin Kootam (Prawns playing hide and seek),‘Chicken Maram Chutty Fry.’ Where the term ‘Maram Chutty’ means ‘running around trees’. It is named thus since the chicken meat is cooked rolled up on a rod. ‘Chicken Vattom Karakiyathu’ (Chicken swirled around) is chicken meat roasted to a circular` shape.

             

Cuisine is prepared in real Malabar traditional method, adding some modern technique, to attract visitors. Other yummy and delectable items like “Chicken Poothri Fry”, “Adichapoli”, “Undampoori”, “Hungama”, “Nirithi Porichatu”, “Adaminte Adbudha Chemmin Fry”, “Chicken ketty pothinajathu are available at the chayakada.
